Pre and Post Course Organisation and Communication has always been very good.…Read More

We are always limited on dates as to when we can run courses for the ships and FETS have been very adaptive to meet our needs. Bookings and changes have often been at very short notice. FETS have always gone out of their way to try and make it work for us.
We appreciated the Post Course feedback FETS gives us from the questionnaires given to the students.

We try and have all our courses run by FETS on the vessel. This enables us to have our people work as a team and see individuals strengths and weaknesses. It also enables us to carry out exercises using our equipment in our environment. FETS have always been very accommodating with this.

Feedback from students is always very positive especially in regard to how the training content is geared to our vessel and our needs.

A very positive training provider who is very interested in what they teach and their enthusiasm rubs off on the students. My pick of the Training Providers we use.

I am attaching the feedback post training and wanted to personally compliment you on the quality of training given today.…Read More

I was concerned about the cost of the training, given it was more than twice another provider – but then the training today was x 10 better than theirs, so we feel that we have
certainly had value for money and as I partook in the training too, would like to add – that I will definitely be using your services again.

Your instructor is the consummate professional and gets sites engagement from the go, he made the practical fun and the theory at least interesting. Kudos to Safety First for
using FETS to handle the training and kudos to your instructor for the excellent training and people skills.

It is not often that the plant operators will give feedback on the training, but I have had extremely positive feedback from the courses you have facilitated here at Kauri. This has included the confined space/gas testing, height safety and fire warden and extinguisher training.

Some of the comments received have been:

• Course was brilliant, the best we have ever seen.
• The instructor was excellent value, and explained everything in detail and clearly
• The course was excellent
• Good practical demonstrations and practices
• Good mix of theory and practical
• Great course, can’t think of any way that it could be improved.
• We had a great day.
• Well structured for the group.
• Great video’s and effective training on using the gas detector.

It has been a pleasure dealing with the team at FETS, and I wish you every success for the future. Hope to catch up with when you are next on site.

I found the course to be interesting and very informative.…Read More

It prompted many questions when I got back to the office which has highlighted a few areas that our organisation will improve.

I also found the civil defence preparedness and earthquake tsunami discussion at the end of the course to be very helpful. My family live in Eastbourne and my children go to school there. Learning that we may only have 3-4 mins to get ourselves up a hill and out the path of a potential tsunami that could result from a major earthquake in Wellington is important to know. I am not sure that the school evacuation drill has made it quickly enough yet!

Learning that staying above 30 meters and ideally inside our 16 storey building, because tsunami may slosh back from the Hutt Valley end of the harbour into Wellington CBD where my office is located, is potentially another lifesaving tip. Without this knowledge, many people may be more inclined to run out there buildings soon after a major earthquake not expecting the water movements to last up to 18-20 hours afterwards.

I am writing to inform you of the positive comments I have received with regards to the training your company has delivered to our staff on site to date this year.…Read More

Of particular note is the number of senior staff who commented on the amount of new information they learned on the refresher courses they attended.

Your facilitators/tutors were well presented, well organised and set a high standard for our staff to step up to.

Thank you for the informative Course Reports and the feedback I received from you via our telephone conversations. I look forward to working with your team again next season.

The consultancy and training that FETS have provided for us has always been of a high standard.…Read More

They are incredibly flexible and accommodating and will go out of their way to make sure that the training meets our needs. The training is always designed and delivered in conjunction with our requirements and with our constraints in mind, which is often difficult given the complexities of our industry’s strict regulations and the 24/7 nature of our operation.

FETS also worked closely with us and our ITO to link NZQA unit standards to our training whilst still ensuring it met Maritime rules. The trainers have an amazing amount of real life experience which adds to the authenticity and professionalism of courses, and takes it beyond ‘training’ to equipping our crew with essential skills for safety and survival – they have a real passion for what they do, and a commitment for doing it right.

The high standards they apply to the completion and sign-off of training standards shows their dedication to safety.
